Alana F. Dunoff, ProFM, FMP, IFMA Fellow has over 32 years experience in strategic facility planning and management in the corporate commercial, healthcare
and retail industries. She has her M.S. in Facility Planning and Management from Cornell University and
her B.S in Environmental Psychology from Boston University. She has earned both her IFMA FMP and the ProFM credentials.
Alana started her career
as a Space Planning Analyst for Thomas Jefferson University and Hospital. She was responsible for all
space planning and management activities for their 4 million square feet of space. She later joined Pesce
Associates as a Strategic Planner specializing in healthcare Merger and Master Planning. In 1998 Alana
was hired as a Project Manager by Little & Associate Architects out of Charlotte, NC to assist in the opening of their
Philadelphia Office. In 1999 she became an Associate of the firm and in 2000 was promoted to Design Principal
responsible for all Commercial and Corporate Interior projects for the Philadelphia region. AFD Facility
Planning was launched in October 2002.
Alana has been an active volunteer in the Facility Management
community for over 32 years. In 2003-2005 she served as a Director on the Board of Directors of the International Facility
Management Association and also served as President of the local Philadelphia Chapter of IFMA in 2001. In 2013, Alana was
honored as IFMA's Distinguished Member of the Year and in 2014 she became an IFMA Feloow. She is an
adjunct professor at Temple University in their Facility Management program. Alana is Qualified Instrutor for both IFMA's
Facility Management Professional(FMP) Credential course and the ProFM. She has
been invited to speak on a variety of topics at numerous organizations, companies and universities. For over 20
years, Alana was been a speaking on a variety of strategic facility planning and data centric topics at IFMA’s
World Workplace, NFMT, at the Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association, IAMC, at the AIA Annual Convention and the
Annual APPA conference. In 2001 she was honored at the CCREA Crystal Ball for her volunteer achievements with IFMA and was
awarded the IFMA/Dupont Student Scholarship in 1991.
Alana is passionate about FM education and creating a new generation of Facility
Professionals.
